Born in Oxford in 1979, David Taylor took up the Piano, on which he regularly accompanies, at the age of 6. He joined his local brass band - Wantage Silver - at the age of 8, learning Euphonium, and added Bass Trombone some 5 years later, on which instrument he performed regularly with the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain and also in a number of other genres. Now, he plays principally Trombones - Alto, Tenor, Bass (specialism) and Contrabass - for many ensembles in the Oxford area.
David has maintained a keen interest in composing and arranging since his early teens, and has had compositions and arrangements performed in many countries around the world.
Professionally, he studied Mathematics at the University of Warwick, and is now employed as a Numerical Analyst by the UK Atomic Energy Authority.
