This recording represents the art and craft of extraordinary brass performance. It has been a year long journey recording many of the finest brass players of all time. As the challenge of writing and recording muisc for musicians who perform at the highest level of virtuosity and creativity began, I was hit by an overwhelming sense of purpose, responsibility and humility.

A project of this scope is bound to take on a life of its own and what a life this one turned out to be.
