Simon Lesley
Simon Lesley is a lecturer at UCE Birmingham Conservatoire and South Birmingham College. He is widely published as a composer-arranger, his works being published by Warwick Music, Universal Edition, Faber Music and Music Sales among others. His Three Sketches (TB111) won the British Trombone Society composition competition and his work has been recognized through the shortlist of the Society for the Promotion of New Music, from whom he has also received a large national commission to write for orchestra.
As a performer he has held the post of Solo Trombone for championship brass band, the Staffordshire Band, and has improvised his way through the Cheltenham and London International Jazz Festivals.
