Warwick Music & New Trombone Collective Partnership

Two world-class trombone organisations, UK-based publisher Warwick Music and Dutch ensemble New Trombone Collective, are delighted to announce a unique three year partnership. Warwick will become the publisher of choice for all New Trombone Collective publications and have begun a special New Trombone Collective series which already includes the vast amount of repertoire commissioned and performed by the ensemble. A selection of new works will be added annually.

Steven Greenall, Managing Director of Warwick Music, said, "New Trombone Collective have raised the bar for trombone ensemble playing to a new level. We have been working with them over a number of projects in recent years and it made sense to formalise this into a long-term relationship. We believe its the first deal of its kind between artist and publisher in the trombone world."

Slide Factory 2007

The New Trombone Collective organises the second edition of their trombone festival, Slide Factory 2007. The festival will take place from May 3rd - 6th 2007 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Many national and international artists and ensembles guarantee qualitative and varied concerts and clinics. There will be innovative concerts with the world premiere of five pieces written by distinguished composers. One of them wrote a unique piece for a great outdoor spectacle that will take place with the help of many amateur players. There will be master classes and clinics, given by top trombonists as Michel Becquet, Mark Nightingale, and Wycliffe Gordon.
