Having lived all my adult life by the River Thames and as a Piscean, this is an especially personal piece for me. I quote myself from a Radio 4 interview I gave about this piece: “The river is ever changing and there is a myriad of activity under the water”. This piece is a microcosm of that world.
This piece is dedicated to the late Hannah Marcinowicz (soprano saxophone) and John Reid (piano).
